FAQ

Are all patients and services bulk billed?
Yes, if you have a valid Medicare card you will be bulk billed for your consultation. Workers compensation and insurance matters are not generally covered by Medicare. We can still meet these needs, however payment is required at the time of consultation for these services.

How long are consultations?
Your consultation will go for as long as you need. As we don't book appointments, your doctor is not limited by a schedule.

What are waiting times like?
We offer a walk-in service only and don't book appointments. Generally waiting times are not long, depending on demand.

Do you do travel vaccines?
Yes. We advise on a wide range of travel vaccines and prescriptions. We recommend that your travel medicine is organised at the same time as you book your holiday. Some travel medications must be taken months ahead of travel to particular countries. Check with your GP for more information or visit www.smarttraveller.gov.au for the latest advice. The closest accredited Yellow Fever vaccination centre is Berowra Family Medical Practice, located in Berowra Heights.

Do you do immunisations for children?
We are unable to offer childhood immunisations as we do not have a Practice Nurse.
We recommend Berowra Family Medical Practice, for all your child's immunisation requirements.

Can you provide emergency medical treatment?
No, we are not equipped to provide complex emergency care other than for minor lacerations or simple workplace injuries. If you have a serious accident or life threatening illness, please phone 000 for an ambulance. The nearest hospitals are Hornsby Kuringai Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital in Wahroonga.
